Yesterday the class started a new language unit about explanatory texts. They explored a range of these to gain a greater understanding of them and to gather a collection of imperative verbs (or bossy words). These have been printed to help the students when creating their own texts:
The students then worked in groups to arrange a recipe that had been cut into pieces. This proved to be quite tricky and emphasised the importance of ordering the instructions when writing an explanatory text. Photos and a video clip can be seen below:
