Olympic Medal Maths

On Wednesday we used the ongoing Olympic Games as a starting point for our maths work. Having watched some highlights from the games, the class were shown the medal table. We discussed how the medal table is ordered according to the number of gold medals won. The students were then set the challenge of finding out how many medals individual countries had won in total.
